I think that I shall never see

A poem lovely as a tree.

A tree whose hungry mouth is pressed

Against the sweet earth's flowing breast;

A tree that looks at God all day,

And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

A tree that may in summer wear

A nest of robins in her hair;

Upon whose bosom snow has lain;

Who intimately lives with rain.

Poems are made by fools like me,

But only God can make a tree.

-Joyce Kilmer

Just playing around with an idea. Haven't seen any cheese slope trees yet.

This tree is so lazy it is sitting on a rock. You can see its buttocks and a big butt crack. This was shot earlier this fall in the Millstream feeder stream.

Trees on Bagtor, Dartmoor, seen from Saddle Tor.

Just for a couple of minutes that cloud caught fire and just glowed. It balanced the slit of light through the low clouds, which seemed to slice off the trees. Magic.

The sun was so bright yesterday. I went under the trees and snapped this, love the way they framed the sky and clouds.

Trees will always leave me in awe, especially when they are big enough to feel like a home. This was such peaceful place and I could have been sitting there for ever watching all the animals living there.
